Following a concert at the Main Street Armory in Rochester, a crowd-related incident left one woman dead and left two others critically injured.
According to Rochester police, three adults were transported by ambulance to Strong Memorial Hospital, where one of them, a 33-year-old woman, was pronounced dead. According to police, six additional concertgoers who had been injured in the same incident were taken by private vehicle to nearby hospitals with injuries that were not thought to be life-threatening.
Following a report that shots were fired inside the Armory at 900 East Main Street during a GloRilla and Finesse2Tymes music concert, police arrived at the venue shortly after 11 p.m. on Sunday.
However, when the police arrived at the scene, they discovered that none of the victims’ injuries suggested that they had been shot.
Police say that a large crowd pushing toward the building’s exits after hearing what they thought were gunshots appears to be to blame for the injuries.
